i know its been a while since many of us have spoken

For the last few weeks ive been rebuilding the dla clan website so that we can restart the clan again

I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with you using the name DLA for a new clan either.

I think we all know this is beyond revival but there's still a lot of sentimental feelings around the place which is why i think many of us still pop by from time to time.

I also think Chappers is right to try and "make a fresh start" with a clan, but for it to truly be a fresh start i think a new name is needed for his clan.

Not only will it be the fresh start Chappers is looking for, but it will also allow us sentimental old fools to still keep our retirement home in tact.

not quite sure if i've worded that as well as i'd have liked.

thing is i dont want a new clan i want to bring dla back. that was my entire inspiration for doing all this.
i wanted to bring dla back to its former glory days with a new approach to how the clan is managed. I appreciate that people are attached to this forum (as am i) but it seems just like a random meeting place rather than a clan central there are only a handful of people who even visit the site anymore

I dont want to step on peoples toes about and if people are against the new forum then ill appreciate that and close the forum down

I wanted to get back into gaming more and considered joining ars but then thought "no im DLA, always have been and always will be" i thought that if noone else will stand up to make the clan better than i will take on the challenge.

I apologise if making this new forum has upset people - i am not trying to remove DLA's past merely make its future brighter, i know the clan can be revived

i think that this forum seems to hold all the bad memories of dla, the downfall and the flame wars.
i just thought we needed to give people something new
plus i dont think people would have liked me messing with the forum

i just think the forum here symbolises where it all went wrong for the clan - where it all fell apart
i love this forum and do have some good memories here, but i think this is representative of the old dla (what it was rather than what it will be)

I want to offer people a community rather than a clan. I want to encourage multi platform gaming but ensuring that there is interest in a range of games on all platforms not just a chosen few. I want people who want to play together for fun not just because they want to win over other clans. I want ensure that the ccmmunity is moderated properly with leaders for each console type which can arrange matches and friendly games to ensure peoples interest is kept using msn & xbl etc to keep people informed of developments in the areas that matter to them. I want better planning of clan matches, proper training and tactics so that it doesnt seem all thrown together at the last minute.
